Customer Critiques
This series is SO blooming excellent! The very first year was wonderful, but the second year has been excellent. I enjoy all the characters, even the ones that are sinister. What a amazing treat! Can't wait til portion 3.
This series was terrific. The content of the miniseries would be four stars on its personal, with some episodes rating a five. Maggie Smith as always steals every scene she is in, delivering her a single-liners with regal aplomb to amusing effect. The sisters are not quite so horrible to each other as they were in the 1st season - so it really is nice to see some of the cattiness go away.
The viewing high quality, on a 32" Television, was horrendous. If you are watching this on the Kindle Fire, it really is almost certainly fine - but a typical size Tv looked horribly pixelated (and this from the copy I'd downloaded to my laptop. When the show itself normally distracted me from the annoying squares on the screen, most of the time I spent watching it regretting my purchase. Downton Abbey is a wonderfully visual knowledge, with terrific shots, costumes, acting ... I just wish I could have noticed it as it was meant to be noticed. In all probability 2 Stars for the viewing top quality on a regular Television. I wish there had been some warning. I would likely have bought the HD version offered the chance, but by the time I'd realized my mistake, I'd already downloaded half the films, and had currently bought the Tv pass.
