Client Critiques
I wanted a 2nd Television for our much less usually used household space in our lower level. My only needs were that it be reasonably priced, at least 32", and interface with my older DVD player with component connections, and my older VCR with composite connections (yes, my kids still watch the occasional VHS movie). Frankly I didn't care if it was world-wide-web connectable for Netflix, or had a certain refresh rate. After viewing a bunch of TVs and brands side by side at my local "Wonderful Obtain" retailer, including generic knock-off brands, it was clear this model of Panasonic basically had the top image for the price tag. The contrast, colors, and view-potential of the IPS panel genuinely stood out against other TVs in this price tag range. Right after checking Amazon, Amazon had the lowest price tag anywhere. The box came with a hole in the side, but I guess that is not necessarily the fault of Amazon. Nevertheless the Television is not double-boxed when shipped, so thankfully whatever created the hole did not get by way of far sufficient to damage the Tv. The Tv was hassle-free to affix to the stand (eight screws total) and the setup of the channels is Pretty hassle-free. The Television displays directions for each step of the way so you always know what is going to occur or what to do if you want to exit a menu location. Of course at 32" it does appear a bit smallish compared to my brilliant Sharp 46" Television in our main loved ones room, but it will suffice for the quantity it will get made use of. Of course it would be good to have double the connections on the back, so I guess realistically I would give it 4.five stars out of 5, but it does come with 2 HDMI, 1 Component, and 1 Composite. For the price of this Tv it is what I would expect. I would rather have fewer connections and a top quality image than a sub-par picture with twice the connections. This would also make an terrific Television for a bedroom and for that you would most likely not will need that a lot of connections anyway. Panasonic has a sleeper with this gem with its excellent picture, IPS panel and at a really competitive price tag $three-twenty-nine with free shipping!
Just received mine now. Was rather uncomplicated to set up as soon as I figured out the stand slides into a panel at the bottom of the Television. I own a Panasonic 42" and set this one to the exact same settings because there are no genuine calibrations posted online however due to the fact it's a newer model. It looks pretty really good and comparable to the 42". Black/night scenes appear a small soft but it really is nothing to actually complain about.
Pros:
Cost ($343 1 day shipping)
Sound Excellent - I was replacing a 2007 Sony LCD and this sound blows the other away. I did hook it up to external speakers but the sound out of the box is not poor at all.
Picture High quality - If 720p is fine for you you should have no issues with this Tv. Non-HD channels are average quality and the HD ones are good.
Weight - It was surprisingly light, only 22 pounds with stand and 19 with out
Cons:
Only two HDMI ports
I was not able to plan my cable remote employing the codes offered for Panasonic. That could be considering it's a newer Tv but this may well be annoying to some people today.
So if you are in the market place for a spending budget HDTV I would very advocate this one. It really is highly user friendly and Panasonic has great excellent merchandise.
